More Way of the Ninja by AbigailRyder More Way of the Ninja by AbigailRyder
More job stuff. This is pretty much the first page I did for the magazine, and though it was just a few weeks ago I know my new pages are already getting better.

My main problem lately is my computer, which is really giving me trouble with deadlines. There's a shiny new mac on it's way to me but that won't be here for a while yet, so all my work for Way of the Ninja is getting pumped out on my little crash happy laptop. I find it bad enough losing work to a crash when I'm not getting paid, try and imagine how much hair I've been pulling out recently! I'm getting there though.

Coolest thing about this job is that all the pages go to Mirage first to be OK'd. I know my work ain't perfect yet, but knowing some dude at Mirage is liking it is too fantastic. I'm determined to get better at this stuff.

Thanks! And yes, I've come back to work on it for the Russian release, I've been really excited to draw TMNT again! I'll post the new pages I've done for it here soon. :)

Wow! So, they just ask you and another artists who worked for the magazine before? And now it's just for Russia?

"Боевая Четвёрка" pretty popular here and sells well! Number of printed copies about 500,000. They add the collection of the trading cards (each issue contains 8-10 cards), so almost any boy now had this cards ))

It was so hard to find out something about it. Sadly, publisher don't put in the magazine any info about artists =( But I've recognised your art from the #5 and remembered what I've seen it on the DA ;)

Thanks for the information! I'm looking forward for the new comic pages from you! ))

I sort of like how you colored Michelangelo blue! It's something I never thought anyone would do!

If you see the new cartoon you'll notice that all of the turtles have their own green tone. It's even more of a way to differentiate them. I don't know about Mikey being "blue," though XD;; He just looks kinda sea-greenish to me.

Anyway Abby I really like this page  Your colors are fabulous! You did a great job of using the shading to identify their muscle tone.

Wow, to Mirage, that is awesome. Yea, I hate shitty computers, too.
Anywho, nice level on the actions and pose. The turtles look very flawless in drawing and looks like it popped right out of the cartoon (the new one, of course). And with vibrant colors, the kids'll love it.
